SAVE Lindley's School Crossing Patrol before Kirklees cuts this job permanently.  Sadly Kirklees Council are threatening to cut ALL school crossing patrols.  

Lindley NEEDS its lollipop man; not only does he cheer everyone who sees him, but to cross Lidget Street & Holly Bank Road safely would be impossible without him. There are over 860 children at the two Lindley schools, and these children rely on the lollipop man to cross the road safely. 

The village of Lindley is getting bigger and busier: more and more houses are being built in the village.  Lindley has two of the largest schools in the region, and children from Lindley walk to the local High School too.  Children and parents are actively encouraged to walk to school. The two roads that Sean - the lollipop man - patrols have no pedestrian crossing or safe areas to wait on.  The speed limit has not been reduced to 20mph like it has around other schools.  The Police constantly patrol and monitor the atrocious driving and parking along these roads, in short...LINDLEY NEEDS ITS LOLLIPOP MAN!
