Activist groups such as Extinction Rebellion and other conservation movements are now engaging in a large number of "Rewilding" projects across Britain. Its starting to become a realistic option that is growing in popularity. For example:

There are tree planting projects and allotments, among various interesting and radical new developments. I want to explore the possibility of relocating people to better housing and restoring the heritage area to woodland. And presenting the site in a historic context, environment and setting. with connectivity to the other sites by green routes and walks. This could be challenging. But i think that the potential of beauty and education might be possible on a level that could match Stonehenge and the Orkney sites. And even have potential to some world wide credibility as Newgrange and other major sites in Ireland have. There are powers that can be employed to achieve this. It may be ambitious.. but it is not impossible.. depending on the locals attitude. Although support & interest from further afield could help to make this a reality.

The River could be included in this.. Punting or ancient river boats centre and rides..  There could be safety issues but there is a river use area in Mirfield and if Cambridgeshire can have a safe infrastructure for this, there is no reason we cant have one here. I think that public facilities can be created that are agreeable to all parties also as the right kind of enterprises. as the Town Centre has enough Modern targets already itself. We need an area that is something different.
