Vortex is a Arrow Looping coaster located at Kings Island in Mason Ohio. Just today, they announced they will be closing it at the end of the season. I love Vortex more than most Arrow loopers. This ride does not deserve to go, it was a record breaking coaster and the first with 6 inversions. Kings Island, if you ignore us, you better make it worth while. With Orion opening next year, don’t expect a coaster in its spot in 2021. Keep this at least a little longer, it gets lines when it’s crowded. With it being removed, a huge gap for a classic looper will be empty. If you have no plans to replace this coaster with something good, you better keep it a while longer, at least add new trains, repaint it and modernize it a bit more. Until a response occurs, RIP Vortex 1987-2019.
