Justice for Charlie

Justice for Charlie
The Issue
Charlie just had his 11th surgery to correct damage to his jaw caused by a human. He was a 24 lb six month old stray pup. The number of blows it would take to inflict this degree of damage is in the double digits. An investigation was conducted by the Harris County Animal Cruelty Taskforce with a plethora of evidence presented to the DA's office. Per their office, an ADA denied charges, but now Kim Ogg Harris County District Attorney will be reviewing the evidence herself. We are watching, waiting, and hoping she does the right thing and moves forward with charges. Houston (and Texas) has a worldwide reputation for poor animal treatment.
So many wonderful people work extremely hard to clean up behind people who lack compassion, commitment, responsibility, and some who are plain evil when it comes to caring for dogs. Knowing that animal abuse will no longer be tolerated, by the DA taking steps to charge the offender, will be one step in the right direction on a much needed LONG journey!
Kim Ogg, please do the next right thing and get justice for Charlie. Show Harris County, Texas, and the world that animal abuse is no longer tolerated in Harris County, and those vile humans who commit these heinous acts will pay for their actions.
