WE DID IT!!!

Kim Kardashian announced on her Instagram that she is changing the name of her brand, #Kimono.

I feel a little uncomfortable with her tweet without any apology. Diversity and representation are very different from cultural appropriation.

Anyway, We overcome the crisis that “Kimono” becoming a noun for underwear! I hope the new name will be an appropriate one.

We were over 130 000 to have this change happen!

After all, I think it was a good opportunity to think about how we should and could protect our culture and it showed so many people really appreciate Kimono.

I will call you all again for the next step :

Protecting Kimono from anyone, not only Kim,

maybe put ourselves together to register "Kimono" as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.

But For now, We celebrate our Victory!
