Wanted to give you an update. Yesterday 6th October, media outlets reported on a case that shared striking similarities to Courtney Herron’s.
MEDIA REPORTS ON JURY’S VERDICT RE VIOLENT KILLLER
A NSW jury found Jordan Brodie Miller, 21, guilty of murdering Emerald Wardle, 18, in the home they shared at Metford near Maitland in the NSW Hunter Valley in June 2020. Miller has always admitted to killing Ms Wardle and had used the drug LSD 11 days earlier.
During Supreme Court trial, defence barrister Peter Krisenthal argued his client suffered chronic schizophrenia, exacerbated by drug use.
The defence told the court Miller did not know that what he had done was legally and morally wrong.
But Crown prosecutor Lee Carr rejected this, stating a drug-induced psychotic episode led to Miller's actions, having a "completely self-inflicted, causative effect".
VIC JUSTICE SYSTEM
Henry Hammond brutally murdered Courtney Herron in Melbourne, Victoria in May 2019.
Hammond was high on ice at the time of murdering Courtney Herron.
Hammond pleaded not guilty by mental impairment.
August 17, 2020: A judge finds Hammond is not guilty of murdering Ms Herron because he has schizophrenia.
Henry Hammond is set for imminent day release from Thomas Embling Hospital.
These two murder cases contain harrowing parallels, & similarities.
HOWEVER ALARMINGLY DIFFERENT JUDICIAL OUTCOMES…..Despite commonalities in offending, known substance abuse & schizophrenia diagnosis/ psychotic episodes.
In Victoria, the “justice system” continues to deliver manifestly inadequate sentencing. Not withstanding the travesty of justice victims & their families experience. It is inhumane how victims of crime are treated. Perpetrator’s rights continue to be prioritised. Victims’ voices are not heard & far too often silenced.
NSW JUSTICE SYSTEM OUTCOME
Jordan Brodie Miller was committed to stand trial at NSW Supreme Court for murder.
Found guilty by jury of murder.
Judge sentences Jordan Brodie Miller to 20yrs jail.
VIC JUSTICE SYSTEM OUTCOME
Henry Hammond not committed to stand trial at VIC Supreme Court for murder.
Henry Hammond deemed unfit to stand trial in July 2020, & transferred to Thomas Embling Hospital Pyschiatric Facility.
Henry Hammond found not guilty of murder by Judge in August 2020, because he has schizophrenia.
Henry Hammond enjoys free access to his own mobile phone, & the internet, including dating sites.

The Victorian Justice System continually fails to hold perpetrators of violence against women accountable. It is barbaric, & in desperate need of systemic change.
Despite the political rhetoric & endless media campaigns targeted at ending “violence against women”, nothing changes. The campaign “everybody matters” that no doubt cost millions, was an insult to every victim/victims of Violence Against Women & their families.
If “everybody matters “ ….as the campaign stated….why has nothing changed????

PERMITTING HENRY HAMMOND , A RECOGNISED DANGEROUSLY VIOLENT KILLER BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY WILL RESULT IN ANOTHER HEINOUS CRIME BEING COMMITTED.
WOMEN IN MELBOURNE ARE BLOODY TIRED & FED UP. EVERY SINGLE TIME WE HEAR ANOTHER INNOCENT VICTORIAN WOMEN HAS BEEN VIOLENTLY MURDERED. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? THE PREMIER SENDS CONDOLENCES TO THE VICTIMS’ FAMILIES & EVERY FEMALE IN MELBOURNE FEELS INCREASINGLY ANXIOUS & MORE FEARFUL.TILL THE NEXT ONE.
THEN WE SEE DAN ANDREWS ON A CONSTRUCTION SITE WEARING A HELMET & SAFETY VEST. PROUDLY PROMISING ANOTHER NEW GOVERNMENT PROJECT.
VICTORIANS DESERVE A PREMIER THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT ENSURING WOMEN ARE KEPT SAFE FROM VIOLENCE.
