Kik is being forced into shutdown due to Kin.  People knew what they purchasing. If people purchasing Kin is the issue do away with. Kik as a messaging service have brought millions together  from all different communities. Thanks the app and ability to create community chats, many have found others who share similar combined passions. Some have even formed long distance relationship, many of which only communicate on Kik.  Pleasw don't let Kik get shut down.
