tl;dr: Khan Academy is pulling their free MCAT prep content which will halt progress in improving access to careers in medicine for underrepresented minorities and low-SES applicants. Sign, speak out, and let them know this is a resource our community needs! Let's ask for AAMC and Khan Academy to work together to continue to make these resources freely available!

As of July 15th 2020, the pioneering education nonprofit Khan Academy will retire its MCAT online prep course. This FREE course, put together in partnership with the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC), has been a vital resource for students preparing for taking the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) in order to apply to US and Canadian medical schools. The entire process of applying to medical school, besides being difficult to navigate, costs thousands of dollars. This financial barrier to enter into a career in medicine drives a lack of participation of underrepresented minorities and low socioeconomic status applicants. These groups will especially be negatively-impacted by Khan Academy's decision to take down their MCAT material.
