Stop KFC from destroying the forest

Stop KFC from destroying the forest
The Issue
KFC’s paper packaging is causing to the demolition of the Southern forests. While other fast food companies are working hard to use more recycled paper, and make sure that their packaging is not coming from the world’s threatened forests. KFC still makes its famous buckets from the southern forest.
KFC is a major buyers from International Paper, a major paper company in the world and a company known for large scale clear cutting and relying on heavily toxic chemicals.
KFC should follow other fast food chains such as Tim Hortons and use recycled paper. Even if it cost KFC a bit more, we cannot buy all those trees back.
As a next step for KFC, they should stop buying from International Paper, use recycled paper and plant trees in the southern forest.
KFC doesn’t have to be doing this and should be following other food chains.
