On Tuesday, December 10, Farid Jaber, owner of Trade Fair supermarkets, sold the Jackson Heights store and illegally terminated the workers as they showed up for work in the morning.  Two weeks before Christmas, fifty people found themselves out of a job with no warning.

Jaber sold the supermarket to Amana Key Food, owned by Mohammed Haque. Mr. Haque should know that the residents of Jackson Heights do not stand for businesses that break the law and disregard their workers. We the undersigned will not shop at the new Key Food, and will urge our friends and neighbors to do likewise, until the workers from the former Trade Fair have been re-hired.

El martes 10 de diciembre, Fair Jaber, propietario de supermercados Trade Fair, vendio su local de Jackson Heights e ilegalmente liquido a los trabajadores cuando se presentaron a trabajar en la mañana. Dos semanas antes de la Navidad, cincuenta personas se vieron sin trabajo inesperadamente.

Jaber vendio el supermecado a Amana Key Food, perteneciente a Mohammed Haque. El señor Haque deberia saber que los residentes de Jackson Heights no apoyan a negocios que rompen la ley e ignorar a sus trabajadores. Los abajo firmantes no compraremos en el nuevo Key Food, e urgimos a nuestros amigos y vecinos que hagan lo mismo hasta que los trabajadores del viejo Trade Fair haya vuelto a ser contratados.
