After the first six games of the NFL season, it is safe to say fans of the Cleveland Browns are tired. There has undoubtedly been frustration with the people of Cleveland, who are desperately looking for some form of change. From suspension, to injuries, to poor play, Deshaun Watson does not appear to be the answer to Cleveland's football woes. We are asking for Watson to be benched, and for any other quarterback to be given the chance to prove themselves within the league.

This deep into the season, there does not seem to be much at stake. The Brown's playoff hopes are basically gone, especially if Watson does not improve his performance. However, if the team's trajectory does not change soon, the Browns may have to embrace a full rebuild, setting back most, if not all, progress made since drafting Baker Mayfield back in 2018.

Action must be taken immediately to make sure the team does not fall into total disrepair. Delaying any decision may divide the locker room, and it seems that trading for and starting Watson, has already partially delivered that effect. Public perception of the team has already gotten sour, and by not benching Watson so far, it has shown a lack of accountability from the coaches and front office. We want to help Cleveland believe in the football team again and a quick, deliberate decision will help show that members of the team will be held to a higher standard.
