Indiana fans love and believe in their team, but they know better than to expect a championship from a developing core in the face of Boston and Philadelphia's continued ascendance in the east. Indiana fans haven't been able to count on refs to accurately call our games at the most crucial moments. What we have been able to count on is Lance Stephenson to play exciting basketball, no matter what the odds, opponent, or score is. This is a plea to Lance to not leave the fans just yet even though we'll love him where ever he goes and understand that he deserved that contract, and a plea to the front office to reconsider signing him or expect us not to show up to games not out of animosity, but profound disinterest and lack of faith. Our franchise can't afford to be just a ruthless basketball machine, all we have to offer free agents is heart and good ball. I will also say if I thought In the face of this free agent class there was a single free agent who could be signed for Lance's on court and intangible value then I would agree with a need for "Flexibility", but this is FOOLERY and I only want that from Sir Lancelot.
