Call for the Immediate Recall of Senator Jeffery Donohue (D) of Kentucky

The Issue

This petition is to call for the immediate recall of Senator Jeffery Donohue
It has come to the attention of many Kentucky state citizens that a proposed bill has been introduced in the Kentucky State Senate, currently listed as bill request 354, for the 2020 session. This bill was proposed by now sitting senator Jeffery Donohue (D) of Jefferson county.

Here is a brief summary of his proposed bill:
Amend KRS 527.010 to define "assault weapons" and "large-capacity ammunition-feeding devices"; create a new section of KRS Chapter 527 to criminalize possession and transfer of large-capacity ammunition-feeding devices; create a new section of KRS Chapter 527 to criminalize the possession of unregistered assault weapons and to require the owners of registered assault weapons to store the weapons in a manner which renders them inoperable to unauthorized users; create a new section of KRS Chapter 237 to establish the assault weapons registration program and a weapons buyback program under the Department of Kentucky State Police and to authorize a fee and trust account and make an appropriation; amend KRS 16.220 and 237.104 to exempt weapons from the buyback program from prohibitions on the destruction of certain weapons.

We as Kentucky State Citizens shall not stand idly by and allow ourselves to be stripped of rights that are granted to us in the bill of rights left by our founding fathers. Therefore we as Kentucky State citizens shall not surrender the right to protect ourselves from tyranny and thus see this bill that has been proposed by Jeffery Donohue and all its contents as a gross violation of our constitutional rights and call for his immediate recall from the Kentucky State Senate.
