Now that over 2500 people have signed their names to this list of demands, it's time to ask organizations and people running for political office to also endorse the demands. If you are a member of an organization, please bring the list to their attention and ask them if they will officially endorse the demands. If you work for a political candidate or volunteer for one, please ask them to endorse these demands as well. The creators of this list of demands have received many excellent suggestions. We really want to incorporate them, but we are trying to figure out a way to make changes that's transparent and accountable. One important addition we want to make is to clarify that we want Kentucky legislators to keep their hands off the pensions of ALL Kentucky public employees, not just teachers. Others have suggested things like paid maternity/paternity leave. Please be patient with us while we figure out a way to responsibly incorporate your suggestions.
