Hwy 39 is the main road into Crab Orchard. 

Amish children and adults walk this road to their home, they ride their scooters which are similar to a bicycle and they travel in their horse driven buggies or farm wagons. 

Amish do their best to have their children in safety vests and put orange reflective signs on their buggies and wagons. 

There is no shoulder in many areas and no room for them to move over should they encounter a motor vehicle. Cars and trucks are frequently speeding through this area. 

We are asking that the county and state add shoulder space where there is none and addition safety signs.
