Revisions need to be made and items added to the contract the City of Stephenville has with the Erath County Humane Society.  This contract was written over 22 years ago and with the changes in technology that other shelters around our area have embraced,  our shelter has chosen not to implement any of these technologies to assist with lowering euthanasia rates as much as possible.  There is also a lack of making records public or reporting to the city the performance of the shelter and we feel like this is a necessary process to find the needs of the shelter and areas that can be improved upon to help lower euthanasia rates.
