Protect animals in the greater Vancouver area!

The Issue

Let me ask you a question, if the earth has, for hundreds of millions of years, had all sorts of different species of animals roaming around independently from one another, and then humans come along and wipe out all but themselves and their own genetically modified creations, is it still earth? Or is it humansland? The balance of power between species has always been one of the most important things to keep an ecosystem going. The large and powerful creatures are fewer in number, while their prey is much more common, so that there are more of them than the predators could ever kill. That was how it was, until humans came along. We hunted and killed excessively. While it is normal for us to hunt, kill, and eat animals, if that’s all we were doing, there would be no problem. Humans don’t just kill for food, we kill for sport, we kill for money, we kill simply because we can. We’ve killed so much that we’ve forgotten why we were even killing in the first place. We have far more than enough food from farming, so we don’t NEED to kill wild animals anymore. That is why, I think, it should be made illegal to kill all wild animals, with the exception of incredibly common things that we use as food, such as small schooling fish, and insects or other pests that won’t leave us alone. By accomplishing this, and keeping to ourselves, we can save the environment, and destroy the black markets for valuable animal body parts that cause so much corruption in governments, and save endangered animals, all in one fell swoop. With greater enforcement and harsher punishments for breaking these laws, we can save the animals. We start in my hometown, the city of Vancouver, and then move on to the rest of the province of British Columbia, at that point, it’s a major thing within Canada, and may spread to other provinces, and finally, the whole country. With one major country supporting our cause, we are bound to convince more. Perhaps we can even recruit the entire world to our cause! So sign this petition! fund it! Share it! Do whatever you can to help out. It’ll be worth it. Trust me.
