The VHSL Cross Country State Meet caps a season of racing for Virginia’s high school runners across 6 divisions.   Throughout the cross country season, athletes enjoy vocal support during their races from spectators who have access to the cross country courses.  The State Meet is the most important meet of the year. Despite the significance of the meet and the benefit to racers of audience encouragement, the VHSL Cross Country State Meet does not currently allow admission to the course.

In light of the importance to the athletes to have people cheering them on, we respectfully ask the VHSL to allow spectators to support athletes with access to the Cross Country State Meet course.
