I lovvveeee poptarts but after reading the ingredients I discovered their use of gelatin! This upset me and grossed me out so much. Gelatin is a ingredient made from boiled cartilage, bones and ligaments from animals. In Poptarts they use pork and beef gelatin. After doing a little bit of research I discovered why they need gelatin in their products. It's used for giving the frosting texture and keeping it from melting right off the poptart. I can see why this would be an important ingredient but could there be a better substitute for it? Is it possible for Kellogg to try out different texturing ingredients such as AGAR-AGAR or vegetarian Kosher gelatin? I would love to see some type of feed back from Kellogg. Hopefully I can enjoy eating poptarts again along with the rest of animal lovers out there! Please sign this petition and help me make a change for the better :)
