Kellogg: Remove GMOs from your products!
I am a mom, trying to keep my family healthy in times when autism, food allergies, autoimmune diseases and other food-related health problems are skyrocketing. I want to feed my children the same Kellogg's Corn Flakes I ate when I was growing up. I need to know what's in our food so I can have the freedom to choose what we eat and make healthy choices.
GMOs (genetically modified organisms) were released into our food supply without independent long-term studies to prove that they are safe for human consumption. The FDA doesn't oversee the nature or extent of the testing these GMOs undergo. Instead, they allow the companies that develop them and profit from their sale to determine whether they are safe. The companies that create GMOs are the same companies that created toxic substances like DDT and Agent Orange (a chemical defoliant used in the Vietnam War) which have been found to cause serious generational disease. These companies knowingly lied and told us that these chemicals were safe decades ago. Now, the same companies developing GMOs and the related chemical herbicides and pesticides are asking us to “trust them” with our food. In fact, there are increasing numbers of independent studies showing that these agricultural chemicals and GMO technology can have negative environmental and multi-generational human health consequences.
Kellogg contributed $790,700 to pay for media propaganda in California to defeat Prop. 37, a 2012 voter ballot initiative which would have required the labeling of Genetically Engineered Foods. Kellogg's doesn't want Americans to know that their products contain GMOs, such as the EPA registered pesticide that is also known as GMO Bt Corn. This corn makes its own pesticides, so that when corn worms bite into it, their stomachs explode.
Kellogg, you agreed to make your Kashi products GMO-free by the end of 2014. America wants you to make ALL Kellogg's products GMO-free by that date. We want the same products that you sell in Europe and countries that require that GMOs be labeled. Please make your products GMO-free in America, too!

I just signed the following petition addressed to: The Kellogg Company.
Stop using GMOs in ALL of your products by the end of 2014!
GMOs were released into our food supply without independent long-term studies to prove that they are safe for human consumption. The FDA does not oversee the nature or extent of the testing these GMOs undergo. Instead, they allow the companies that develop them and profit from their sale to determine whether they are safe. Overwhelming scientific evidence has shown that GMOs, and the herbicides they are engineered to resist, are linked to serious health and environmental problems. An extensive report prepared by highly regarded biotech scientists, called GMO Myths and Truths, brings this evidence together:
America wants to eat the same products you sell in Europe and other countries that require that GMOs be labeled. We want Kellogg's to be GMO Free in America, too!
