After speaking to someone at Community Board 1, I've learned the meeting on September 8th is not confirmed. There will however be a public forum on September 14th.

If the meeting is in person it will be extremely impactful to have tons of people show up for this one purpose of saving our parking under the BQE.

Transportation alternatives and the make meeker move coalition are heavily funded by ride share companies who have a financial interest in making it completely unaffordable and uncomfortable to have a personal vehicle in NYC. This is a cash grab and an attempt to turn NYC's working class into more customers for Lyft, citibike, revel and the many other private cab and ride-sharing companies. It is despicable and has absolutely nothing to do with saving the environment. It will not stop the world's biggest polluters. It's all about getting more customers for these ride-sharing companies in public-private partnerships with the city.
