The Potteries is a new-build development built by Keepmoat Yorkshire. The final homes were completed and moved into in July 2019. Since then Keepmoat has abandoned the site. They left a dangerous and unsightly site that attracts crime and antisocial behavior. Leaving building materials and other valuables means that the site has attracted crime with people stealing materials and risking people using the materials as weapons to damage property. The roads surrounding the site are unsafe damaging cars and property, they haven't been adopted due to their condition with a surveyor suggesting that "it would cost a serious amount of money to bring these up to standard". The sales team from Keepmoat, which included some of the directors were astonished at the state of the site and assured the residents that something would be done.

So far Keepmoat has been unwilling to do anything beyond putting streetlights in after nearly 16 months since the site completion after consistent pleading from residents and involvement from Leeds City Council. Since that time Keepmoat has been claiming that they are working on it and not willing to give any details or dates as to when they will return. 

It's unacceptable and negligent of Keepmoat to leave a site in this state. They are unwilling to do anything and consistently let down the site and its residents.

This petition is designed to call upon Keepmoat to commit to bringing the site up to scratch and leave the residents with the neighborhood they were promised with.
