My son, my eldest child, and first baby continues to be recklessly exposed to harmful environments and individuals due to the 50/50 custody that is currently in place. A manifestation of the negligent behavior is observed in exposure to substance abuse and alcoholism from people the child's father routinely associates him with. This needs to change. Our son, who is merely five years old, belongs in a safe surrounding at all times. His safety, emotional well-being, and future prosperity should never be compromised. In the United States alone, over 7 million children live with a parent who has a substance abuse problem, often facing profound long-term implications (Child Welfare Information Gateway). A hostile and unhealthy environment can drastically impair a child's emotional, educational, and psychological development. I strongly believe that my home provides the safe and loving environment our son needs to thrive. It's crucial that his best interests be prioritized. Revisit this custody agreement, revoke the 50/50 custody of the other party that continues to endanger our son, and grant me, the stable and caring parent, full custody. Every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment to grow up in. Please join me in advocating for the safety and wellbeing of our son by granting me 100% so he can visit the other party in a controlled safe environment to maintain his relationships with his other side of family as Konner deserves the good of both WITHOUT Konner being at risk at any moment to be exposed like this and me not being able to prevent it on the other time share as it’s used negatively against our son and me by the other party when the other party doesn’t get his way.
