The greatest promise made to students at Winder-Barrow High School is that eventually, on your graduation day, you will get the great privilege of walking the stage at the 50 yard line of W. Clair Harris Stadium. On the day of our 5th grade graduation, we were told that in many years, we would be on this exact field once again, progressing into a new chapter of our life. This promise is now being taken away from this year's seniors, and future generations to come. Every student deserves to have their family watch them make the biggest accomplishment of their life, on their home field. Not at any other location.

This petition is being designed to make a change. A change that holds truth to the schoolwide slogan - "Meet You at the Fifty!" A change which affects every single student who attends Winder-Barrow. By signing this petition, you are saying that as a parent, you wish to keep the tradition alive by having your student graduate at one place, and one place only. W. Clair Harris Stadium. We as students do not want to walk across a 50 yard line, in another county that isn't ours, at a stadium with no sentiment. We want to walk where we experienced the greatest highs and lows of our life, where we spent 4 hard fought years, but above all we want to be in the heart of all of it, like we've been promised for our entire high-school career.
