We opened a secure dog park, called Westwoods Dog Park in April 2022. After months of planning, risk assessments, organising and putting personal finances into this to set up a secure place to let dogs run free with no worry. 
We was less to believe there was no plans in the pipeline for this area, and hadn’t been for years. Even whilst running us at a short license. Being given just under 3 weeks to close the park and remove all the hard work, equipment and time we have put in. 

There are so many dogs who cannot be let off lead, due to being unsocial or nervous, in training, guide dogs or rescue pups. 

We provided this space to allow to security for dog owners which we have fulfilled for so many people. 

Taking this park away from the community is removing a safe space for dogs, owners and members of the public. 
We have been nearly fully booked since the day we opened, 8th April 2022 and people are completely distraught and upset about this news. People can no longer safely walk their dog in Thanet, with no worry of children, other dogs and being reactive towards cars, or anything else! 

We do not want to take this away from our community!
