The West Falls boat launch in West Falls (Exeter Township) is more than just a place to enter the water; it is a vital part of our community's fabric. The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission was entrusted with this land for a symbolic $1, underscoring the mutual trust and good intentions that benefit both the commission and our residents.

For years, the commission has diligently maintained and policed the boat launch, thereby contributing to the safety and enjoyment of both locals and visiting anglers. These efforts not only preserve the natural beauty of the area but also attract visitors who significantly bolster our local economy.

Our visitors are crucial customers for small businesses, such as our Kayak Rentals & Guided Tours, the local Bait and Tackle shop, and the nearby Gasoline and Grocery Store, as well as various local produce stands. The closure of the boat launch threatens to disrupt this economic balance, risking significant financial losses to these hardworking business owners who rely on the steady stream of visiting anglers and outdoor enthusiasts.

While there have been concerns about violations at the launch site, the solution is not to close it down but to increase policing until these issues can be effectively managed.  The PA Boat and Fish currently has a $150 million dollar surplus with a $65 million dollar not committed {Penn Live 2021 budget}, we believe in the capability of the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission to address and solve these challenges while keeping the launch open and accessible for everyone.
