KEEP WEEKLY PAY — SUPPORT ALL SEMINOLE GAMING EMPLOYEES

A United Employee Petition to Stop the January 6, 2027 Transition to Biweekly Payroll

To: Seminole Gaming Corporate Leadership, Executive Management, and Human Resources

From: The Undersigned Employees of Seminole Gaming Properties Across Florida

Our Petition

We, the undersigned employees of Seminole Gaming properties throughout Florida, respectfully but firmly request that corporate leadership reverse the planned transition from weekly to biweekly payroll, scheduled to begin January 6, 2027, and preserve our current weekly pay schedule.

This petition represents the concerns of employees across the following six operating Seminole Gaming casino properties:

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood
Seminole Casino Coconut Creek
Seminole Classic Casino Hollywood
Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee
Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino
We encourage employees from all six properties to stand together in support of maintaining weekly payroll.

With the rising cost of living due to inflation, increasing health insurance premiums, and growing household financial responsibilities, this payroll change could create additional financial hardship for hardworking employees and their families.

Weekly payroll is more than a convenience. It is an important part of financial stability for employees who depend on predictable access to their earnings.

We respectfully urge corporate leadership to reconsider this decision before January 6, 2027.

Why Maintaining Weekly Pay Matters

1. Rising Cost of Living and Inflation

Employees throughout Florida continue to face financial pressure from increasing housing costs, groceries, utilities, transportation, childcare, and other essential expenses.

Weekly pay provides employees with more frequent access to their income, helping them manage these rising costs and meet financial obligations.

At a time when the cost of everyday necessities continues to strain household budgets, extending the time between regular paychecks could create unnecessary financial challenges.

2. Shrinking Take-Home Pay Due to Rising Health Insurance Costs

Increasing health insurance premiums and other benefit-related deductions are putting additional pressure on employees' take-home pay.

Although switching from weekly to biweekly payroll does not necessarily reduce total earnings, receiving paychecks less frequently can make budgeting and managing essential expenses more difficult.

Employees who are already facing rising deductions should not have to deal with additional cash-flow challenges caused by a change in payroll frequency.

3. Flex Pay Is Not Free — Employees Should Not Have to Pay to Access Their Earned Wages

Flex Pay is offered as an option for employees to access wages before their regular payday. However, this service is not free.

Transitioning from weekly to biweekly payroll could increase employees' reliance on Flex Pay, especially among workers who depend on weekly income to cover essential expenses.

Employees who use fee-based early wage access services may incur additional charges simply to access wages they have already earned.

At a time when inflation and rising insurance premiums are already placing pressure on household budgets, additional fees would create another financial burden.

Employees should not have to pay extra fees to maintain the financial flexibility they currently receive through weekly payroll.

While Flex Pay may be helpful as an optional service, it should not be considered an equivalent replacement for weekly pay.

4. Financial Stability and Household Budgeting

Many employees have organized their household budgets around receiving weekly paychecks.

Rent, mortgages, car payments, groceries, utilities, childcare, and other essential expenses require consistent financial planning.

Changing to biweekly payroll could disrupt established budgeting routines and make it harder for employees to manage their financial responsibilities.

For employees living paycheck to paycheck, less frequent access to their regular earnings may create significant cash-flow challenges.

5. Employee Mental Health and Well-Being

Financial stress affects employees and their families.

Concerns about paying bills, purchasing groceries, covering childcare, and handling unexpected expenses can negatively affect employees' overall well-being.

Maintaining weekly pay provides greater financial flexibility and predictability, helping employees manage their responsibilities with less stress.

A financially supported workforce is better positioned to remain focused, productive, and committed to providing excellent guest service.

6. Employee Morale, Satisfaction, and Retention

Weekly payroll is a valued part of the employee experience at Seminole Gaming properties.

Eliminating this benefit could negatively affect employee morale, satisfaction, and retention.

Maintaining weekly payroll would demonstrate that corporate leadership values employee feedback and recognizes the financial realities facing its workforce.

Preserving a benefit that employees already rely on can strengthen trust, loyalty, and long-term commitment to the company.

7. Respect for Employees Across All Seminole Gaming Properties

Employees across all Seminole Gaming properties contribute daily to the company's success.

From gaming operations, hospitality, food and beverage, housekeeping, security, and maintenance to administrative and support departments, every team member plays an important role.

We take pride in our work, our dedication, and the exceptional experiences we provide to guests.

Regardless of which Seminole Gaming property we work at, we share common financial responsibilities and concerns.

Our voices deserve to be heard, and decisions affecting our financial stability should reflect the needs of employees across all properties.

Our Formal Request to Seminole Gaming Corporate Leadership

We respectfully request that Seminole Gaming leadership:

Cancel the scheduled January 6, 2027 transition to biweekly payroll and maintain weekly pay across all affected Seminole Gaming properties.
Consider the financial impact of inflation, increasing health insurance premiums, and rising household expenses on employees and their families.
Recognize that fee-based Flex Pay services are not an adequate replacement for weekly payroll and should not create additional financial burdens for employees.
Provide employees from all affected properties with a meaningful opportunity to express their concerns before the scheduled implementation date.
Meet with employee representatives from the affected properties to discuss the financial impact of the proposed payroll change.
Provide a written response to this petition before January 6, 2027.
Our Message to Corporate Leadership

We recognize that Seminole Gaming must consider operational efficiency, administrative costs, and long-term business objectives.

However, decisions affecting thousands of employees should also consider the financial stability and well-being of the workforce that contributes to the company's continued success.

We are proud to be part of Seminole Gaming and remain committed to delivering outstanding service to our guests.

We are not asking for a raise, additional compensation, or special treatment.

We are asking to preserve the weekly payroll schedule that helps us manage our finances, pay our bills, and support our families.

At a time when living expenses are rising, insurance premiums are increasing, and employees are facing growing financial pressure, maintaining weekly payroll would demonstrate a meaningful commitment to employee well-being.

We respectfully ask Seminole Gaming corporate leadership to listen to the collective voices of its employees and reconsider the scheduled payroll change.

KEEP WEEKLY PAY. STOP THE 2027 BIWEEKLY PAYROLL CHANGE.

ONE COMPANY. ONE TEAM. ONE VOICE.

Our Work Matters. Our Families Matter. Our Financial Stability Matters.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned Employees of Seminole Gaming Properties Across Florida
