Keep TV CLEAN for Kids

Little by little, Free TV has been watering down the TV Code of Practice. The G time slot after school has already been abolished; content guidelines have been progressively made more vague and less enforceable. Concerned parents and pro-family organisations have sent submissions protesting these changes, but most of the time ACMA – the government regulator – has rubber-stamped Free TV proposals.
The latest push – for adult-only programs to screen at any time, day or night – is outrageous. More children are growing up in homes where parents are physically or mentally absent, and unlikely to use parental locks or direct children to ABC channels.
Let's protect children from more sex and violence. It's the last thing they need. Free TV time zone restrictions for kids should be kept. Adult only TV shows should only be broadcast after 8:30 pm.
