The ‘Vent’ app is a social platform that allows users to freely express themselves to similar communities. Often used to get out your feelings, ask for advice, and express yourself to like minded individuals - the ‘Vent’ app has become a staple outlet for thousands of individuals.

Recently they announced the closure of the ‘Vent’ app, sending the community into a state of panic, wondering where they can next turn to in order to find support. This is problematic as the app has offered a safe space for its users for YEARS, it’s unique design allows people to post REAL feelings and opinions that may otherwise be ignored on other, larger, platforms. To get rid of the ‘Vent’ app is to strip many people of their only opportunity safely express themselves in ways they often cannot.

The owner of the app says they’re making a $15k loss monthly, however there has been no attempts made for them to fundraise, or add features to improve income. It feels as if the actual effort to maintain the app for the PEOPLE has been grossly neglected and swept under the rug.

By signing this petition you agree that more action should be take to KEEP the vent app up and running, we want to send a MESSAGE to the team behind the app asking for more efforts to be made in order to keep the app active. Even if that means offering more perks or raising money, some of us need that outlet.
