Keep The Historic Incinerator Road Open!

Keep The Historic Incinerator Road Open!
The Issue
Incinerator Rd connects Upland boro, to Chester Township and Aston Township. The road directly intersects to Concord Road allowing a easy shortcut to the communities neighboring Upland without needing to go to more congested areas of Chester or Brookhaven. without the road, Drivers and Bicyclists need to travel up to Bridgewater Rd (a longer and more congested and inconvenient route) or West 9th St in Chester.
The road has existed for over 100 years being historically rooted to Upland. It allows easy passage that is not dependent on the conditions of its neighbors. closing the route will cause a significant more inconvenience to Drivers, extend travel time, Create a stronger dependency to the circumstances in Chester and slow down economic potential in the communities near the route.
If someone works in the Frito Lay Factory in Aston, and Live in Upland, Why Should they need to travel all the way to Brookhaven or Chester when its down the street? Or alternatively why should a teacher living near the 2SP Factory take a additional 10 minutes to go to work when living down the street from the elementary school?
While the road does need some maintenance, closing it outright is not the solution.
