The Assiniboine Park Conservancy (APC) a group of none elected officials who run the park at an arm length from the City of Winnipeg Council decided they no longer wanted the Ten Commandments ... (click here) Monument in the park.  Please refer to Winnipeg Free Press article below for background information story:

The Ten Commandments Monument has been placed in private storage by APC for the last 5 years. This past summer they sent this issue to the Welcoming Winnipeg Committee to give their recommendations to the City of Winnipeg Council.  APC is requesting that the Ten Commandments Monument should not be relocated back into the park.

The people who have signed this petition need to take another important step before Feb. 7th and complete Welcoming Winnipeg Committee's survey and add a short comment to the Welcoming Winnipeg Committee telling them to deny the APC request and have the City relocate the Ten Commandments Monument back into the park in honourable, respectable location.  Please do the survey below and add a short comment before Feb. 7th when public opinion will be cut off.  Numbers count and the more people who do the survey the better our chance of winning this issue.  Thank you.   Ed Hume
