PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH LANDSEC keep Sustainable Chefs from being forced out by LandSec

The Climate is changing, and food is central to sustainable communities - as we import most of our produce from afound the globe, much which is plastic-wrapped, out-of-season produce grown with the use of pesticides, chemicals and forced ripening gas, and grown without good soil. PESTICIDES DESTROY SOIL, DESTROY POLINATORS and CREATE GUT HEALTH PROBLEMS, and RELEASES CO2.
The changing climate presents this already broken system with additional immense problems such as supply-chain break-downs, flood damaged farming systems, drought-stricken farming systems and food insecurity which is already affecting our health systems here in the UK.
StreetCube is a tiny independent sustainable food project set up to help young chefs champion sustainable food and to tackle climate change - but now LANDLORD GIANT LAND-SEC ARE FORCING US TO CLOSE...!!
Land Securities is a £12bn behemouth orgamisation with more than 24m sq ft of asset space! Do they REALLY need to bully us poor chefs, we struggle to earn a living and feed our kids!
We have all struggled through lockdown, but few have struggled as much as chefs. We lost 70% of our outlets, many have had to leave the Uk, but those of us with families have found it very hard indeed.
But then the Street cube project invited us to join their sustainable street gastronomy market in Wandsworth, at the wonderful Southside shopping centre, on their outdoor piazza. Whilst many shops inside the shopping centre were forced to close, StreetCube stayed open, and was able to help us chefs to keep our families fed, and our communities were able to access food. Street cube asked for us to comply with strict sustainability guidelines, which means using seasonal organic ingredients, locally sourced, without using plastic or generating waste. We were happy to fall-in, but now we are threatened with losing our income because of .. Well, we don't really know - because Landsec keep changing their STORY!.
We occupy a few positions in front of the Southside shopping centre in Wandsworth. which is probably council owned land in any case!
Certainly, the high Street is NOT OWNED BY LANDSEC!
Please help us, please support us, and sign the petition so that our landlords can hear that we need to support the little projects like StreetCube because we have a climate catastrophe looming, and food is a huge contributor to climate change.
StreetCube helps chefs to champion sustainable food by giving us a chance to trade and to bring communities together to focus on growing better food, cooking more organic ingredients and feeding everyone at a price that families can afford. No more junk chains, please - sustainable food must win, if we all are to stand a chance of averting a global catastrophe.
Please support us.
