Sully is fortunate to have beautiful trees and surroundings, but that results in a large amount of leaves  in the fall.

The community dumpster provides residents with a convenient, environmentally responsible way to dispose of leaves and yard waste.  It contributes to helping keep our community looking well-kept.   Removing it would create an unnecessary burden for many residents and could lead to  increased burning of leaves and brush, resulting in air pollution, increased fire risk and breathing difficulties for those with allergies and asthma.  Additionally, this could spiral into environmental neglect, with residents not able to maintain their property.

We ask the City Council to rescind their motion to terminate this service and find the funding to keep the community dumpster available for leaves and brush.  Maintaining this service helps keep Sully clean, safe, and environmentally responsible while supporting the needs of our residents.
