Stroud Maternity Unit is a life-line for the local community, providing much needed birth and post-birth care for families in Stroud District.

At present, the services available at SMU are being reduced due to acute understaffing. The postnatal beds remain closed with few signs that the constraints that causes the closures can be sorted.

This petition seeks to ensure that SMU continues to offer post-natal beds and does not face eventual closure due to a decrease in its use.
