By keeping Discovery at the Smithsonian, we are not only preserving a piece of history but also ensuring it continues to inspire future generations. Discovery belongs where millions can see it for free, alongside the world’s premier aerospace collection. Moving it elsewhere would limit access, diminish its impact, and deny students, families, and visitors the chance to learn from it.

We call on the White House National Space Council, NASA, and the Smithsonian to keep Space Shuttle Discovery permanently at the Smithsonian, preserved, protected, and open to all.
