It’s 5:45 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026 this is Derek Michael O’Brien here once again just to thank you so much all of you that have shared and signed the petition so far aimed at securing the future of sky Q and satellite TV in general, please keep signing and sharing we can and will make an impact if anyone hasn’t signed already I would encourage you to do so and share it with your friends and family as well it is imperative that we save the sky Q box from extinction I am not be pushed onto streaming/Internet based TV services against our will. Surely in a modern world there is room for both well in my books there should be and I don’t subscribe to the view that the sky Q box is outdated equipment. I think it’s vital for people like me and many of you that have signed this who like to record your problems and watch them at a different time. Also the ability to fast forward annoying adverts is all so good and pause a program while you go and make a cup of tea et cetera we need to retain this vital service and not be pushed on to something just because other people think it’s time to move on I’m paying for sky Q and I have been paying for SkyQ for the past 10 years and I want to keep paying for sky Q so please keep signing and sharing this petition we can save the sky Q box from extinction we won’t let them get rid of it this is a fight we can and will win. I make this point not just to sky TV but also too SES who are the company that are responsible for maintaining satellites that provide our TV services such as the Astra satellite fleet they have a plan that says by 2029 intend to withdraw satellite coverage and those of us that don’t have adequate Internet by then are supposed to just jog on and get over it well sorry not me definitely not me so if you feel the same as me please sign this petition it is for sky TV but mainly I am targeting SES as they are the company that provide satellites to sky and at the moment they haven’t made any commitments beyond 2029 this must change thank you
