Asking a favour for Singlers Marsh

Dear Singlers Marsh Supporter,

Thank you for your past support of Singlers Marsh.  Having succeeded in keeping it out of the Local Plan three years ago, there is now a new Local Plan being assembled by the council, and we are expecting the fields around it will now be included for development of 250 new homes.  That's extra road congestion, fewer GP appointments, and less available parking across the village.  We also lose a chunk of Singlers Marsh to a new road, which is needed to access these new homes.

We have an opportunity now to show the council how much opposition there is to these proposals.  The council recently confirmed that it wants to respond to concerns about new developments, so it is listening.  We need to get a strong show of opposition by the start of September.
