I bring great news!

Thanks to our sustained efforts, last night Overview and Scrutiny Committee members put forward a recommendation to Cabinet to remove the car park charging proposals from the Budget.

There was cross-party support for this, with Labour, Liberal Democrat, Green, Conservative and Independent Councillors speaking and/or voting in favour of this. 

The next step is for Cabinet to consider these recommendations, and I am hopeful that my Cabinet colleagues will follow Scrutiny's recommendations.
