Keep SF Bay Area Dance Safe

The Issue

I am a dancer of the San Francisco Bay Area who attends The San Francisco, Oakland &/or Fairfax Ecstatic Dances.  I hereby declare that I am EXTREMELY uncomfortable with Tyler Blank’s return to physically attending these dances, and I feel concerned for the well-being of the members of this community.

That the Nevada county D.A. has dropped the criminal charges does NOT mean that violence did not occur. In fact, there are still MANY questions that have not been answered about the multiple incidences of violence surrounding Tyler Blank and the victim. For example, we have documented evidence entered into the public record (MRIs, hospital records, etc.) that the victim has suffered major head trauma & has been unable to work, drive, or function normally in everyday life for the past 12 months.  She has undoubtedly accrued tens of thousands of dollars in medical treatment and has been unable to work during this time, thereby suffering from many months of lost wages.

Until there has been a more thorough investigation, including a transparent due process around these incidences, accountability from all parties, and a path forward involving restorative justice, I hereby declare my expression of protest.

Signed,
