On February 15, 2021 the Auburn Washburn Board of Education voted to go to Phase 3 On-Site Learning. While the Board of Education tried to please the parents and staff, they left students voiceless and in the dust. The Board's main reasoning for going back to full on-site learning is because of the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine to district staff. They argue that masks are enough and that we will no longer need to social distance in school. While teachers being vaccinated is undoubtedly a good start, the Board has seemingly forgotten that the students they make decisions for have opinions. The Board needs to start listening.

By signing this petition you are helping to give a voice to a student. Students and staff have had enough change this year. The worst thing you could do is cause even more change.
