The Brea Olinda Unified School District put up gates around the schools this year, which is a fantastic step to keep the kids safe during the school day!  But they keep the gates locked during weekends and school holidays, blocking off community access. This means our children, neighborhoods, and dogs have lost over half the public space available to them in Brea. Many neighborhoods no longer have a park space within walking distance.

Sign this petition to urge the school board to keep the gates unlocked when school is not in session.  This will not impact student safety, only give our school campuses back to the community when the kids are out of school!
