Salem University has built its athletic identity and reputation within NCAA Division II. For many current student-athletes, competing at the Division II level was an important part of their decision to attend Salem. Changing governing organizations would have significant consequences for the identity, recruiting opportunities, competitive structure, and future of Salem Athletics.

Our teams have worked incredibly hard to establish themselves at the NCAA Division II level. Year after year, Salem's student-athletes have dedicated countless hours to practices, workouts, travel, competition, academics, and representing the University. The accomplishments our teams have achieved as Division II programs are a direct reflection of that commitment and should not be overlooked.
