In the upcoming legislative session; a push is planned by the Idaho Family Policy Center to mandate Bible readings in Idaho public schools.
The proposed legislation would require students to hear 20 verses from the King James Bible daily; with opt out options.

The group is petitioning for support, aiming to present the bill in the upcoming legislative session.

The parents & guardians of Idaho should not have to opt students out of any required religious text. Students have a choice to “opt in” to many religious studies, religious books, classes, and clubs even at the public schools.

Our public schools should never be required, mandated or forced to prescribe specific religious texts.

This legislation is against our very constitutional principles; as even opened with in the First Amendment;

”Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; “

If Idaho were to pass such legislation; it would be profoundly unconstitutional.
