Let the Australian Government know: “WE DON’T WANT R-KELLY IN AUSTRALIA!”

My name is Tarni. I'm a young woman who loves R&B music. But when I heard that R.Kelly was planning on tour Australia, I felt sick. In the wake of the documentary “Suriving R.Kelly” in which multiple women, including R.Kelly's ex-wife, made on-camera allegations of emotional, sexual and physical abuse, I believe we need to send a message David Coleman, Minister for Immigration and Border Control: we don’t want R-Kelly here! 

R.Kelly has previously been accused of child pornography after a widely-circulated videotape appeared to show him having sex with an underage girl. In 2017, a BuzzFeed article claimed the singer was keeping a household of young women in an "abusive cult", controlling "every aspect of their lives". Kelly was alleged to have been holding six women in Chicago and Atlanta, where their contact with the outside world was restricted and their routines controlled. He denied the allegations.

I believe Australia shouldn't be a refuge for disgraced musicians looking to cash in on the last days of their fame. I think we need to send a strong message to men everywhere that Australia doesn't stand for the abuse of women. No matter how famous you are, you won't get away with it here.
