Hello, lovers of Public Road!
The agenda for the Wednesday, Sept. 2 land use code working group meeting is up, and a discussion about Public Road OTX zoning is the first item. You can read the city planning staff's argument in favor of OTX 3 in the agenda packet. I have issues with some of the conclusions, which I will be bringing up as a member of the working group, and I hope you all will comment too.
Because the planning commissioners are members of the working group, this is scheduled as a planning commission meeting. That means you can send in your comments in advance of the meeting, or you will have up to 5 minutes to comment in person right after the meeting starts at 6 p.m.
Here's the agenda link. And here's how to email comments to the working group. If you submit your comments before 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, they'll be given to the working group before the meeting and also added to the agenda packet.
Please speak up! I was told by a Lafayette City Council member this weekend to keep comments coming. Your opinion matters!
