Two of my sons attend Earhart Environmental Magnet School in Wichita, KS. Every morning, Principal Mr. Malget is there to greet each child with a warm smile and a high five as they enter the school, a small gesture that goes a long way in spreading positivity and setting a welcoming atmosphere. His commitment to the well-being of our children is undeniable, especially considering the extra support he and his staff provide for my child who has a chronic illness. This attention to individual needs ensures the safety and care of all children at the school and is a testament to his dedication.

Earhart is not just any school; it emphasizes environmental immersion, and this unique aspect of the curriculum requires Mr. Malget to invest additional time, energy, and resources into maintaining the school's facilities and surroundings, including the care of animals and plants. Ensuring that this special environment is maintained is no small task, and under his leadership, the school has thrived.

Sadly, there are discussions about making changes in the leadership at Earhart, which might lead to unnecessary disruptions and could undermine the progress and unique culture that has been cultivated under Mr. Malget’s guidance. His hands-on approach and deep involvement with both the everyday running and the long-term vision of the school make him indispensable.

Immediate action must be taken to voice our support for retaining Mr. Malget as Principal of Earhart School. His role is pivotal not only for the academic growth of our children but also for nurturing environmentally-conscious and socially responsible individuals. Removing him from his position could disrupt the positive momentum that has been beneficial for all students at Earhart.
