One of the last remaining open space parcels in Pleasant Hill is up for sale by the County.  This 10-acre parcel, known as the Oak Park Elementary School Site, is adjacent to Pleasant Hill Middle School and the Pleasant Hill Library.  This site has views of Mt. Diablo, a natural creek with otters, birds, and other wildlife. We support selling this large site to Pleasant Hill Parks and Recreation for open space community uses (similar to features shown in this photo of Pleasant Hill Park) such as playing fields, library, picnic areas, trails,  and critical flood detention basins to protect residents from future flooding. Please don't sell this 10-acre site to housing developers!
