March on Angus Council offices - Thursday @ 1 pm

This Thursday (8th November) cars from the town centres of Brechin,
Montrose, Arbroath, Carnoustie and Kirriemuir will drive to Angus Council
Headquarters near McDonalds in Forfar. We aim to arrive there for 1pm and
hope that anyone who wishes to show support will join this peaceful protest.
The procession will park in front of Angus House while a letter is delivered
for Councillor David Fairweather, Head of the Council. We would anticipate a
lot of vehicles and it may be advisable to use hazard lights, horns or both
to ensure awareness to other road users.
We will stay for about 30 minutes to make sure Angus Council notice our
presence during which time we will hand deliver a letter beseeching them to
immediately put the covers back over the parking meters across Angus. We
will ask for a meeting with representatives from the business community and
residents of Angus to discuss a way forward before we lose all town centre
footfall completely.
We ask all who can spare the time, be they Businesses, Retailers,
Organisations residents or concerned members of the public, to get in their
cars and join us. Please come along and support your community in this hour
of need.
