As of 3:00 pm we have 350 supporters signed on our Petition to be heard by the PFISD Board on our reasons to keep PCMS open. And we have over 7,900 views on our Reddit post in the Pflugerville Community. Why do views matter and are they unique? Views are interested parties on our Campaign, not all are in a position to support us but there are many others that will be effected by this and they are eager to see how they can help us. These are Businesses, possible Administrators, other school Staff. Not all are positive in our Campaign and I've made it very clear that we are not bashing any school in any way whatsoever. Our single motion is to not close PCMS but overall we don't want to see any school close within PFISD, no child should be effected by this whatsoever!
We need continued support on signatures so we can show the Board our strength in numbers, ultimately this Community wants answers and they will have to listen to all of us and answer to all of us.
At the PTO meeting if you cannot attend; I will propose if we can get volunteers to go door to door within our neighborhood or where you reside to pass fliers out for our Petition, these are taxpayers who voted to build this school and will not want to see it go. We additionally need to come up with a better Proposal than #7, personal feelings and emotions are 1 part of the equation but not an ultimate solution. Please reach out to anyone you think that has any Financial background, Legal background etc. to join the meeting, we need to brainstorm some ideas to pitch.
Remember, if it is not our child then another child gets effected if their school closes, can we collectively get creative with a solution where no school closes?
Can we as PCMS parents rise and help the District solve this issue, we all know what is at stake and what we have to lose here.
