Keep Pakuranga College YR13 Senior Uniforms Consistent

Keep Pakuranga College YR13 Senior Uniforms Consistent
The issue
Promoting uniform equality in education is vital. I'm concerned about the new separate design only for the Year 13 uniform, which raises issues of inequality and financial burden for families.
-> Why couldn't the existing uniform from Year 11-12 be extended to Year 13?
Auckland parents believe the current uniform fosters unity and equality, and a new Year 13 uniform design could disrupt this and add unnecessary costs.
The 17.Oct.2024 survey may have gathered support for the Year 13 uniform.
If it had highlighted that the Year 13 uniform design is different and requires a separate purchase for one year's use, then the survey outcome would have been different.
The survey presented a new design concept, which is misleading on the assumption that this is for Years 11, 12, and 13 (Seniors).
Emphasising that the cost of a new uniform is just for one year would shift the survey support.
We urge you to support an environment that values equality and unity by signing the petition to oppose the separate Year 13 uniform design. While maintaining the Senior Uniform Design, students can continue to wear the current Year 11 and 12 design.
...
Please sign this petition to keep Pakauranga Senior Uniforms equal for all students without introducing a separate Year 13 design.
...
*Compare with other East Auckland Colleges with only two main designs. Not a third design!
